Shawntel is the Co-Founder and President of the One Cainta Food Program, a co-founder and Vice President of Sustainability PH, and Secretary-General of the Philippine Badminton Association.

Through the organisations Shawntel co-founded, she has provided food, water, disaster relief, supplementary education, and livelihood opportunities to over 700,000 people across 20 cities in the Philippines, while convening the country’s first association of sustainability practitioners.

She obtained her Bachelors in Management of Applied Chemistry as the program awardee in 2017 and her Masters in Sustainability Management in 2019 from the Ateneo de Manila University. She likewise completed a Masters in Public Policy at the University of Oxford, as the first and only Filipino Weidenfeld-Hoffman scholar.

She has worked as a researcher focused on social entrepreneurship and sustainability, as a corporate analyst under JP Morgan & Chase Inc., as a TV host under IBC 13, and as the Philippine country manager of CSRWorks International.

For her work, she has been awarded as the first Filipino Princess Diana Awardee and Dalai Lama fellow. She was also awarded as a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree, one of the Philippines’ Ten Oustanding Young Men and Women (TOYM) in 2022, and as Rotary’s Paeng Hechanova Philippine Youth Leadership Awardee.
