Capital Markets Malaysia

Capital Markets Malaysia (CMM) is the brand name of the Capital Markets Promotion Council (CMPC). The CMPC was established in 2013, as part of the efforts of the Government of Malaysia and the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) to promote the country's value proposition to the world.

The SC officially launched the CMM brand in 2014, to drive the domestic and international profiling of the Malaysian capital markets – as a multi-faceted landscape with an extensive array of conventional and Islamic products, supported by a strong governance framework. CMM plays a pivotal role in ensuring efficient coordination between the various stakeholders vis-à-vis showcasing Malaysia’s capital market expertise to global investors, issuers, intermediaries and other market participants.

In line with its mandate, CMM actively engages with both local and foreign players to facilitate their involvement in the Malaysian capital markets via issuances and investments.
