Abdulmuiz is a Senior Vice President at PEMANDU Associates. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with more than 18 years of experience working across strategic planning and implementation, ESG and sustainability, programme design and transformational change management.
He currently leads PEMANDU Associates’ Climate and Sustainability practice, with involvement in various national and state level transformation as well as ESG and sustainability related projects. He is currently working on national-level engagements to facilitate the transition of industrial clusters across Malaysia, as well as development of Special Renewable Energy Economic Zones in the northern corridor.
Among his past engagements include leading the curation of content for the Malaysia Pavilion at the UNFCCC COP30 in Belem, Brazil, as well as delivery of a Sustainability Framework & Roadmap for an industry regulator covering the telecommunications, broadcasting and postal & courier services. He also led the development of a Green Economy Policy and Carbon Trading Strategy for the largest state government in Malaysia, as well as Sustainability Report for a State-owned Asset & Investment Corporation in Malaysia.
He has previously served in several firms including Accenture, PwC and KPMG, and was part of the Performance Management and Delivery Unit (PEMANDU) in the Prime Minister’s Department, managing industry development and growth of the Business Services national key economic area under Malaysia’s National Transformation Programme.
He is a Chevening scholar who holds a MSc in Sustainable Development from the University of St Andrews and a B.Eng in Information Systems Engineering from Imperial College London.
