Chaitra leads the Just Transition Working Group at the Asia Investor Group on Climate Change (AIGCC), and is based in Mumbai. She works closely with investors and partners across Asia to strengthen the integration of social equity considerations into climate and energy transition strategies.

Chaitra brings over a decade of experience in sustainable finance, spanning technical consulting, ESG advisory, and capital markets. Prior to joining AIGCC, she held roles at Arcadis, KPMG, and Trucost S&P Global, where she advised corporates and financial institutions on climate risk, environmental strategy, and disclosure. She has also led responsible investment initiatives on both the sell-side and buy-side, at Axis Capital and DSP Asset Managers, respectively.

Her work has focused on advancing climate risk analysis and developing practical frameworks for sustainability integration in investment processes. She has contributed to thought leadership in climate finance through publications and is passionate about enabling scalable, inclusive investment solutions in Asia.

Chaitra holds a Master’s in Environmental Sciences, a Diploma in Environmental Law, and an undergraduate degree in Biotechnology. She also serves on the Asia Pacific Regional Council for the Taskforce on Inequality and Social-related Financial Disclosures (TISFD).
