Dr. Eylla Laire M. Gutierrez is a Development Practitioner and OIC-Executive Director at the Asian Institute of Management's Dr. Andrew L. Tan Center for Tourism. She also serves as a fellow of the Ryoichi Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship (SYLFF) Japan. She previously served as the Gender and Sustainable Tourism Consultant of the Philippine Center for Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development, Inc. (PCEPSDI). She has been engaged in several commissioned research projects in partnership with the University of Auckland, Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, the Department of Tourism, and the Philippine APEC Study Center Network. She has completed her Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Asia Pacific Studies at the Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, Japan and also recognized with Outstanding Dissertation Award; MA in Development Policy (under KAS scholarship) and BA International Studies major in European Studies (Magna Cum Laude) at De La Salle University, Philippines.
