H.E. Christian Lyster is currently serving as Norway's ambassador to the Philippines and Palau. Prior to his current position, he served as head of security and emergency preparedness in the Norwegian foreign service.
Christian has almost 20 years of experience working for the foreign service and previous postings abroad include Malaysia and Denmark. Within the foreign service he has worked with different areas including legal affairs, UN-affairs, export control, Arctic Council, Grant management and security.
He has a law degree from the University of Oslo and before joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he worked as a Police prosecutor and later as a deputy judge.
