Jose Ma. “Joey” A. Concepcion III is the Chair of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) Philippines for 2026, leading the Philippine private sector's engagement during the country's ASEAN Chairmanship. In this capacity, he champions initiatives that strengthen regional economic integration, promote food and energy security, accelerate digital transformation, and empower micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) as drivers of inclusive growth across Southeast Asia.

A long-time advocate of entrepreneurship, Joey is the founder of the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship – Go Negosyo, where he has dedicated his efforts to cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset that creates opportunities and shared prosperity. He previously served as ASEAN-BAC Philippines Chair in 2017, during which he launched the ASEAN Mentorship for Entrepreneurs Network (AMEN), a flagship initiative that continues to support the growth and development of MSMEs throughout the region.

Appointed Presidential Adviser for Entrepreneurship in 2005 and serving under three Philippine administrations, Joey currently heads the Jobs Group of the Private Sector Advisory Council under President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and serves as Vice Chair of the Department of Trade and Industry's MSME Development Council. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he led landmark private sector initiatives such as Project ARK and A Dose of Hope, expanding access to testing and vaccines through innovative public-private partnerships. He also continues to advance food security and agricultural development through the Kapatid Angat Lahat sa Agri Program and the ASEAN Food Security Alliance.

Through his leadership in ASEAN-BAC Philippines 2026, Joey remains committed to fostering stronger public-private collaboration, enhancing regional competitiveness, and ensuring that entrepreneurship remains at the heart of ASEAN's sustainable and inclusive economic future.
