Leticia Guimarães is a climate change specialist with 17 years of experience as a technical advisor, policy analyst and project manager. She has worked with international organizations, governments, private companies, and NGOs to structure performance-based finance mechanisms to incentivize climate change mitigation in developing countries.

As a senior global technical advisor at UNDP Climate and Forests Programme, based in Panama, she supported developing countries from Latin America, Africa, and Asia Pacific on their carbon market readiness efforts for the forest sector and with the development of diversified financial strategies for the implementation of their climate targets.

Leticia holds an MPP in Environmental Policy and Ecological Economics from the University of Maryland in the US and MSc in Environmental Technology from the Federal University of Minas Gerais in Brazil. Bachelor in Law and International Relations.
