Pariphan Uawithya is a Senior Partner at GreenShift Partners, an impact-led strategy advisory firm on energy transition. He has over two decades of experience working at the intersection of energy, climate, and development across Asia, with a focus on strategic planning, alliance building, and impact investment. Currently, he advises governments and development partners through initiatives such as FCDO’s UK PACT, supporting energy transition strategies in the Philippines and ASEAN, with an emphasis on offshore wind, renewable energy integration, and carbon pricing. He also consults for the Energy Transition Partnership (ETP), working with governments and partners across Southeast Asia to accelerate just and inclusive transitions.
Previously, Pariphan served as Managing Director for Southeast Asia at the Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP), where he helped pioneer the use of transition credits to finance early coal retirement—an approach now gaining traction in the Philippines and other markets. He also led work on Just Energy Transition Partnerships, coal phaseout, and distributed renewable energy strategies. Earlier in his career at The Rockefeller Foundation, he established technical platforms in India and Myanmar, enabling the deployment of more than 800 mini-grids and mobilizing significant public and private capital for renewable energy access.
