Wilson joined Conservation International in October 2022 as Conservation Program Senior Director (CPSD) then later on as Country Executive Director in 2023 to provide strategic leadership in program delivery and development in the Philippines program. Wilson has at least 25 years of experience in development in the Philippines and in Asia. Prior to joining CI Philippines, he served as country director for the International Institute of Rural Reconstruction (IIRR) in Myanmar from 2015 to 2022. He also served as Principal Investigator in 2017-2022 for a regional action research project on climate change adaptation in smallholder agriculture in Myanmar, Cambodia and the Philippines funded by the Consortium of International Agricultural Research Centers (CGIAR) and the International Development Research Center – Canada.   He has a master's degree in Environment and Natural Resources Management-Upland Management from the University of the Philippines - Open University and a bachelor's degree in biology from the Ateneo de Davao University. Wilson has published on climate change adaptation, climate-smart agriculture, and community resilience building.
