Thailand
2025 WASTED film screening
October 1, 2025
Alliance Française Bangkok
Countries are facing an unprecedented volume of trash as rapid industrialisation, consumption and economic growth outpaced their ability manage the resultant waste. In Thailand alone, the country’s waste management is challenged by inadequate infrastructure, mismanaged plastic waste, illegal dumping and limited avenues for reuse, recycling and reduction.
Combating this mounting crisis requires not only technological innovation and improved infrastructure but collaboration across all stakeholders – from governments to financial institutions, industry and civil society.
As part of its commitment to sustainable development, Eco-Business is hosting a screening of its latest award-winning impact documentary, WASTED, which explores the connections between waste, human health and the climate crisis.
First premiering back in December 2023 and since expanded and updated following the United Nations negotiations held in November 2024 at Busan, South Korea to forge a global legally binding treaty on plastic pollution, WASTED asks the question: Why are we wasting opportunities to solve our waste issues, and what can be done to turn pollution into solutions?
Don’t miss out on the opportunity to be part of this important conversation on one of the most pressing challenges facing society today: waste.
